About EurOPTICA
Optics Students Karlsruhe (OSKar) e.V.
Optics Students Karlsruhe e.V. is a student chapter under SPIE and Optica. We provide students with educational, networking, and community outreach opportunities in optics and photonics, and promote awareness of Optica and SPIE in the broader university community.
Technical Events
Every month we host events bridging academia and industry. Invited speakers share research and practical insights, followed by interactive discussions. We also organise company visits regularly to give students a behind-the-scenes look at optics and photonics in action.
Social Events
We host Stammtisch evenings, barbecues, and hiking trips that bring our community together beyond academics — relaxed settings to meet, chat, and build friendships.

The Karlsruhe School of Optics & Photonics (KSOP) is a Graduate School at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology that provides multidisciplinary Master and Doctorate programs in Optics & Photonics.
